Conrad Zwicky, viola player

Conrad Zwicky studied the viola and the organ at the Academy of Music in Basle after graduating from grammar school. Having completed his studies he became a viola teacher at the Conservatory of Lucerne and a member of the "Festival Strings Lucerne." From 1972 to 1979 Conrad Zwicky was substitute viola soloist of the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra. In 1981 he received the Concert Diploma for organ. He currently holds the post of organist at Bühl Kirche in Zurich-Wiedikon. He also plays the viola in several chamber music ensembles and teaches the viola, violin and organ. He performs as a violist, organist, cembalist at concerts and works as a conductor of music. As a soloist and chamber musician he has toured numerous countries in Europe and overseas.
