Achim Goeres, organ

Dr. Achim Goeres was born in a small village in Hesse (Germany). From the age of 13 on, he was the regular replacement of the village organist, leading to his training as a church musician in Schlüchtern (Hesse/Germany) under the tutelage of Gerhard Holzner.
After completing his university entrance-level exam (Abitur), Goeres moved to Berlin, studying Physics and working as a church musician for 13 years. He furthered his musical education under the tutelage of Dr. Peter Schwarz (organ) and at the Berlin Arts University (HdK). 13 years of research and study in Astrophysics culminated in Goeres obtaining a doctorate in that field, while he continued his private musical studies with Rüdiger Mühleisen (piano) and Markus Haas (voice). This opened up a realm of concert activity including organ, harpsichord, piano and vocal performances at the Berlin Philharmonie and abroad.
