Regula Schwarzenbach grew up in the Ticino where she received her first instruction on the flute from A. Zuppiger in Lugano. After several years as a primary teacher she studied at the Musikakademie and the Musikhochschule in Zürich. Futher training under Brigitte Bryner-Kronjäger in Zürich. She has built up her own school where she teaches, for the most part, adult students. She is also instrumental teacher in the Zurich teacher's training programme. She is a founder and head of the camerata concertante and performs regularly with other chamber music formations.
