Urban F. Walser studied with Roger Delmotte at the CNR in Versailles where he was awarded the 'Premier Prix' in 1976. Since 1977 he has been teaching the trumpet and brass chamber music at the Musik Akademie Basel. Apart his solo career he leads various chamber music groups (Basler Blechbläser, Basler Bachtrompeter et al). He plays the modern trumpet as well as the natural trumpet and the corno da caccia in concerts and recordings. His particular love is reserved for the performance of J.S.Bach's trumpet repertory.
